Muktsar (Punjab), May 15: Muktsar DEO MK Arvind Kumar on Wednesday said a special Mobile App 'Voter Helpline in ISL' had been introduced by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab so that hearing impaired/low-hearing voters can make an informed choice during the Lok Sabha elections in the state.
This App has been developed to provide the basic information about process of finding polling stations, basic information about EVMs, VVPATs machines, in the form of sign language.
It offers information that would be useful to low-hearing voters. Various videos have been uploaded for this purpose.
This application can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
The DEO said a special mobile application 'PwD App' has been launched by the Election Commission, by which the PwD voters would be able to apply for various facilities. He said that PwD voter can download this App from Google Play Store of their android phone.
He said that PwD Voter could register them at this app and polling staff will provide all assistance to them on the poll day. (UNI)
