Badal (Mukatsar), May 9 : Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal said here on Thursday that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has become desperate in the face of certain defeat and was now using Khalistani elements against the SAD and set Punjab on fire again.
Mr Badal was referring to the violent Khalistani hardliners led by "Amarinder's blue eyed boy Baljit Singh Daduwal reaching former Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal's residence in Badal village today before intervention by Sukhbir Singh forced the government to retreat.
'He said this government sponsored incident is a clear proof that the Congress has lost this election badly already. The CM is resorting to these petty tricks merely to divert attention from the humiliating defeat he faces even in Patiala because of the widespread peoples anger against him and his government, " said he.
He said that these self proclaimed Khalistani hardliners have been brought the former CM's residence under police escort. How could nearly a 100 armed persons move freely everywhere when prohibitory orders are in place through the state because of the elections.
Describing Daduwal and his gang as "B" team of the anti-Sikh Congress party, he said that these elements had never protested against Amarinder for the false oath on Gutka Sahib and on the sacred "Charan" of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. "Why have they never protested against the Congress on the army assault on Harmandar Sahib, destruction of Sri Akal Takhat sahib and the massacre of thousands of innocent Sikhs? They are traitors to the Khalsa Panth and paid agents of the Congress.
Mr Badal said that these elements today crossed several police check points. But they were being escorted by the police. So no one stopped them , said Mr Badal. He said the full responsibility for the consequences for any such provocative misadventure by the Congress in future also would rest squarely with the Chief Minister.
Mr Badal also said that the Akali Dal logde a complaint with the Election Commission. When contacted, SSP Manjit Singh Dehsi said that police have registered a case against some by name and some unidentified persons under section 307 IPC (attempt to murder) besides others sections for clashing with cops stop whoever nobody has lodge a complaint regarding the scuffle between the protesters themselves.
