Chandigarh, Nov 4: Ridiculing the claim of his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal that the stubble burning in Punjab was solely responsible for the high levels of pollution in the national capital, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday said the AAP leader needed to stop indulging in political theatrics and should check facts, before making a statement.
In a statement issued here, Capt Singh came out with a series of facts to rubbish Mr Kejriwal's claims, which he said, were yet another attempt by the Delhi CM to divert public attention from his own government's abysmal failure on all counts.
"Having failed to deliver good governance to the people of Delhi, Kejriwal is, as usual, trying to take refuge in falsehood and fabrications," said the Chief Minister.
Taking a dig at Kejriwal for his preposterous logic that the satellite pictures of stubble burning in Punjab were proof of it being the primary cause of Delhi’s severe pollution, Capt Amarinder Singh said that even a school kid would know better.
"Can he (Kejriwal) really be an IIT graduate?" asked the Punjab Chief Minister, pointing at the sheer irrationality of Kejriwal's reasoning. (UNI)
