BJP leader Chhina hits out at Amarinder for not reducing petrol price

Amritsar, Oct 6: Senior BJP leader Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Saturday hit out at Capt Amarinder Singh government for not reducing the taxes on the petrol and diesel in Punjab and said with this the anti-people stance of Congress government stand exposed as despite the clear cut direction from Centre the state government has not given the much needed relief to the public.

In a statement here, the BJP leader, who hailed Modi government for reduction of excise duty on the petrol and diesel bringing down the rates by at least Rs 2.50 per litre, said the neighbouring states of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have reduced the taxes but not the Punjab government.

"Capt government is an anti-people and anti-poor. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's had listed three-point plan, has led to the cut in petrol and diesel prices and in certain cases the relief would be even up to Rs 5 per litre and he had directed the state government to cut the taxes. (UNI)
