Puducherry, May 22 : Alleging that Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi did nothing for the development of Puducherry in the last four years, Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao on Friday challenged her whether she could list out the good things she did for Puducherry.
Talking to news persons here, the Minister said she only gave troubles to the government and it is the Union government to decide whether she should continue in office or not. He charged that the Lt.Governor is blocking Cabinet decisions and delaying schemes by sending the files to Delhi. Stating that Ms Bedi gave wrong information on austerity measures at Raj Nivas in the wake of fall of Revenue of the government due to Coronavirus, he wondered whether she reduced the number of her photographers or videographers.
Mr Rao said liquor shops were opened in other states and in Puducherry the Lt Governor is returning the files related to liquor. The government is incurring a loss to the tune of Rs 3 lakh daily because of not opening the liquor shops, he added. (UNI)
