Puducherry, Sep 24 : A former Minister belonging to N R Congress Party on Tuesday demanded a CBI probe into the murders at Kalapet near here since the past few years.
Talking to news persons here, Ex-Minister M Kalyanasundaram said that any inquiry by the local police will never be impartial and hence, Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi should intervene and order for a CBI probe.
He also demanded the resignation of Revenue minister M O H F Shajahan owing moral responsibility for the murders in his Kalapet constituency.
Meanwhile, three persons surrendered in a local court in connection with the murder of one Chandrasekeran, an accused in the murder of Joseph, on Monday. They were identified as Sugan from (Kalapet), Abdul Nazeer from (Kanuvai Pet) and Rangaraj from (Mettupalayam). (UNI)
