Puducherry, Aug 30 : The government is taking steps to eradicate the menace of Ganja and online fake lottery in the Union Territory, Chief minister V Narayanasamy informed the legislative assembly on Friday.
Replying to a special mention moved by AIADMK member A Anbazhagan during zero hour, the Chief Minister said when the menace was brought to the notice of the government, steps were taken and managed to control it. He said Ganja is being brought to Pondicherry from Villippuran by train and two-wheelers by the gang. Police took several steps and seized Ganja at different points when the gang targeted college and school students.
A woman is the leader of the Gang, Mr Narayanasamy said, adding that steps are being taken for a total eradication of the menace. Earlier, moving a special mention Mr.Anbazhagan charged that there is no control for anything in Puducherry. For Sex, gambling, liquor and anything people are coming to Puducherry. Girls wearing shorts and t- shirts could be seen all over the town. Sex is on in massage parlours, he said and wondered whether the administration is promoting ‘sex-tourism’.
Mr Anbazhagan wanted the government to take steps to prevent these failing which it will spoil the culture of Puducherry and ruin the lives of younger generation. (UNI)
