Puducherry, Apr 13 : CPI Tamil Nadu Unit Secretary R Mutharasan on Saturday demanded that the Election Commission of India should disqualify PMK leader and Dharmapuri Lok Sabha Candidate Anbumani Ramadoss from contesting for his speeches which allegedly instigate violence.
Talking to news persons on the sidelines of an election campaign for the Congress Candidate V Vaithilingam for the April 18 Lok Sabha election here, Mr Mutharasan charged that PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss and his son Anbumani Ramadoss were trying to unleash violence. He said the PMK is a party which was sold out when they got more than they expected.
The CPI leader said the speeches of Anbumani Ramadoss at several places including in Villippuram amounts to instigate violence.
Hence, the Election Commission of India should intervene and disqualify Mr Anbumani Ramadoss. He also said that late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalaithaa has already described N R Congress President N Rangaswamy as a ”traitor” and hence, people will not accept his party candidate from Puducherry Lok Sabha Constituency this time.
Mr Mutharasan along with Chief Minister V Narayanasamy commenced electioneering in support of Mr Vaithilignam at Lawspet Uzhavar Sandai and will cover 20 villages in the area today.UNI
