Puducherry, Apr 4: Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Thursday demanded an explanation from N R Congress Founder N Rangaswamy on why the photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his alliance party leaders were missing in the notices distributed by him during electioneering.
Talking the news persons here, Mr Narayanasamy said that the photograph of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is there in the notices, but that of Mr Modi and alliance party leaders were missing. He wondered whether Mr Rangaswamy wants Mr Modi to become Prime Minister again or not and whether the local unit of the BJP is accepting on the missing photographs issue.
He also asked whether Mr Rangaswamy is in alliance with the BJP or whether he wanted Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister.
The N R Congress Founder should give a reply to this, he said and added that whether the leaders of PMK and MDMK were accepting the stance of Mr Rangaswamy.
Once again he detailed about the Congress election manifesto and thanked Mr Rahul Gandhi for the inclusion of Puducherry’s statehood issue in it.Statehood only will ensure administrative reforms here, he added. He alleged that the BJP was gripped with fear of defeat after the congress released its election manifesto and added that in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the Congress Party would sweep all the states.
Mr Narayanasamy charged that Mr Rangaswamy is trying to divert the election with fake charges and for that purpose he is criticizing the congress government here as one with “bufoon character'.
Mr Rangaswamy do not have any right to criticize the government, he said, adding that it was the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre which had refused the proposal of his government for smart city at Saidarapet. (UNI)
