Puducherry, Feb 20: Puducherry Speaker V Vaithilingam on Thursday said that he is inquiring into the complaint of two MLAs that other party MLAs are troubling them.
In an informal chat with mediapersons, Mr Vaithilingam said that ruling congress Dalit legislators Vijayaveni and Theepanjan gave him a letter stating that opposition party legislators are giving them trouble.
Though, speaker did not specify the name of the parties and nature of trouble, it is learnt that the Dalit legislators are lured to switch over to topple the congress government led by V Narayanasmay here. AIADMK and N R Congress are the two opposition parties here.
Replying to a question, Mr Vaithilingam said that he is yet to decide the method of inquiry whether to lodge a police complaint or he himself inquire into it. Security to legislators is a must and it would be done, he added. (UNI)
