Puducherry, Feb 14: Demanding the arrest of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy and his Cabinet Colleagues who were on a dharna without permission in front of Raj Nivas since Wednesday, Bharatiya Janata Party volunteers led by state president V Saminathan MLA (nominated) resorted to a dharna at the Ambedkar Manimandapam, on the Goubert avenue here on Thursday.
Mr Saminathan and other party functionaries held a discussion with Director General of Police Sundarai Nanda earlier in the day and demanded that the Chief Minister and others who are on a dharna in front of the Raj Nivas without permission be arrested.
Later, they resorted to the dharna and alleged that the Chief Minister is responsible for the deterioration of law and order in Puducherry.
Meanwhile, students from different colleges abstained from their classes and took out a procession to the Raj Nivas to express their support to the Chief Minister. (UNI)
