Jammu, June 7 : The Government of Orissa on Sunday facilitated the return of over 300 labourers stranded in Jammu and Kashmir in three special aircraft from Jammu Airport here. Sources at the Airport here told UNI that on the intervention of Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik, three special aircrafts of AirAsia this morning arrived at Jammu Airport to ferry the stranded labourers.
The first flight arrived from Delhi at 0850 hours and departed at 1008 hours with 111 passengers on board, they added. Meanwhile the second flight arrived at 0951 hours and with 92 passengers on board, departed at 1047 hours and last flight arrived at 1031 hours and with 108 passengers on board, left for Orissa at 1157 hours. "Total 311 passengers (labourers) stranded here due to lockdown, returned to their native places and their journey was facilitated by the Orissa Government," sources added. They said that all these non scheduled flights arrived in New Delhi. (UNI)
