New Delhi, May 25 : A lawyer from the Supreme Court has gone to interior pockets of Odisha to serve the locality fighting novel coronavirus. And he is Radhakanta Tripathy, a life member of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), seasoned human rights activist, three times Limca Book of Records holder and best social activist award winner from the government of Odisha last year.
He was there when the lockdown started, and decided to serve the local people in Bhadrak district in Odisha. Due to poverty, lack of awareness and careless attitude, a large number of people in the locality were not wearing masks.
Mr Tripathy works in different dimensions like; distribution of masks and food to the poor and destitute, solving the issues of quarantine centres, spreading awareness among the common mass on COVID-19 and taking care of the mentally and physically challenged and stray animals. Since most of the shops and establishments remained closed during lockdown, Tripathy himself wrote messages on corona and prepared handwritten pamphlets and posters and pasted the same at different public places as a matter of spreading corona awareness.
