Bhubaneswar, Apr 27: BJP national president Amit Shah today came down heavily on Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for shielding the Mining and Chit fund scam looteras in the state.
Addressing election meetings at Moroda in Mayurbhanj and Duburi on the concluding day of campaign for the fourth and final phase of elections, Mr Shah said all the mining scam and chit fund scam accused would be in jail if BJP was voted to power in the State.
“We will promise you that all those involved in the mining scam and chit fund scam will be in jail within 90 days of BJP coming to power in the state”, the BJP president said.
He said nothing would happen to the Mmning and chit fund “looteras” in the state as long as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was at the helm of affairs and called upon the people to throw away the Naveen Patnaik government from the power in the election.
The BJP president said the MB Shah Commission probing the multi-crore chit fund scam had clearly stated the involvement of BJD babus, MPs and MLAs and BJD leaders and pocketed the mining money.
Shah said the Modi wave was sweeping across the country and the people had already made up their minds to see Modi becoming the Prime Minister again.
He said the people ruling the state are passing sleepless nights after watching the Modi wave.
Shah said only making Modi Prime Minister would not serve the purpose and appealed people to throw away the corrupt, and lethargic BJD government from power for the development of the state.
“We do not a want a Chief Minister who cannot speak and write Odia,” he added.
The BJP president said panicked at the Modi wave the Naveen Patnaik government was resorting to violence. More than 20 BJP workers were attacked by the BJD workers so far in the state but the people who are peace loving would give a befitting reply to the BJD during the election.
He claimed that said during the last five years, the BJP government led by Narendra Modi has provided gas cylinder to seven crore poor women, electricity to two crores households 2.5 crore pucca houses and eight crore toilets to poor people to help them lead a life with dignity.
The Modi government hasld provided Rs 5 lakh health insurance to 50 crore poor people adding that so far 23 lakh people have availed its benefits under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
But unfortunately, no one from Odisha got benefit under the scheme as the BJD government refused to implement it. He promised to implement the scheme in Odisha after BJP came to power in the state.
The BJP president also promised to provide free education from KG to PG, job to one member in every family, waive GST on kendu leaves and procure all minor forest products at MSP.

Taking a potshot at the Congress, the BJP leader said the entire country celebrated the aerial attack by India Air Force on the terrorist camp in Balakot.
He said Satrughan Sinha who recently joined the Congress after leaving BJP was now describing Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, as a great person and member of Congress family.

The Congress is also not in favour of any action against Yassin Mallik, a Kashmir separatist leader who advocates the separation of Kashmir.
Describing Kashmir is an integral part of India, Mr Shah said no one can take away Kashmir till a single worker of the BJP is alive in the country. (UNI)
