Pregnant woman delivers girl child inside a stranded Super fast Train

Balasore, Sep 25: A good Samaritan shown by station manager of Jaleswar railway station helped a pregnant woman deliver the girl child inside the compartment of a Super Fast train stranded for hours due to rail roko agitation.

Isrrat Jhan, the pregnant woman passenger, travelling in reservation compartment S-5 of Sikandrabad-Guawhati Super fast Express, along with her three relatives including husband had a labour pain at around 1800 hours on Monday.

The super fast train arrived at Jaleswar station at about 0715 hours on Monday and detained for almost over 20 hours due to picketing by the activists of an outfit Bharat Jakat Maji Paragana Mandal demanding upliftment of Shantali language and other related issues.

Jaleswar station manager, Khagendranath Mandal not only quickly responded to the emergency when Isrrat’s husband Md.Iqub approached him for help. (UNI)
