New Delhi, Jun 8 : Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday confirmed that the State Disaster Management authority's (SDMA) meeting with experts tomorrow to understand the spread of COVID-19 in Delhi, will go as per planned. Lt Governor Anil Baijal will chair the SDMA meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday. Addressing a digital press conference here, Mr Sisodia also informed that he will attend the SDMA meeting with experts tomorrow on behalf of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is under self quarantine after experiencing COVID 19 symptoms (sore throat and fever).
Putting everyone's doubts at rest surrounding Mr Kejriwal’s health conditions and his presence at the meeting tomorrow, Mr Sisodia said, “The CM is not keeping well, has a sore throat and mild fever. He has self quarantined himself and will take the test tomorrow. But he is also of the view that this meeting is crucial as it will help us ascertain if Delhi has entered the community spread stage of COVID 19. And our entire strategy to deal with the pandemic is going to change.” “So the CM wants this meeting to take place as per planned, and he has authorised me to attend this meeting,” Mr Sisodia added.
