SC adjourns DA case against Yadav Singh for 2 weeks

New Delhi, Jun 8 : The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the hearing for two weeks on the disproportionate assets (DA) case involving former Chief Engineer of Uttar Pradesh, Yadav Singh.

A bench headed by Justice Rohinton F Nariman said "We adjourn the matter for two weeks." The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing the case against Yadav Singh for his alleged involvement in corruption and amassing wealth disproportionate to his unknown sources of income.

The apex court noted that the Allahabad High Court has already fixed this matter for June 12. The Allahabad High Court had ordered day-to-day hearing against which Singh had moved the Top Court. The Apex Court said, you (Yadav Singh), can raise his objections on June 12 when the case will be taken up for hearing before the Allahabad High Court for hearing. (UNI)
