New Delhi, Jun 7 : Congress on Sunday hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party saying that it was doing injustice to the people of Bihar as the state's migrant labourers were still in distress as they were stuck in various parts of the country, while Union Home Minister and BJP were organising virtual rallies in the state in view of polls. Senior Congress leader and former union minister AKhilesh Prasad Singh while speaking to the press here said that starting of with such poll rally in such a state where people were in distress is in-justice to the people, as they are yet to overcome the trauma which they have to undergo in reaching back home , while many were stranded.
He said that the state was behind in many aspects , and being the state with the third largest population in the country, so far only one lakh COVID tests have been conducted here so far. Singh added that the government should only be concerned for now to bring back the migrant labour who were still stranded in various parts of the country. The Congress leader further accused the BJP of distributing one lakh mobile phones in view of the virtual rally , which would have involved huge expenditure. (UNI)
