New Delhi, Jun 4 : Amid India's face-off with China, RSS's mouthpiece 'The Organiser' hits the stands on Thursday recalling the 1989 massacre of students in Beijing's Tiananmen Square by People's Liberation Army (PLA) on the same day.
The June 4 issue of the saffron publication, on its cover, has used the iconic photograph of a solitary young man standing up to a column of tanks the Communist rulers had rushed on June 4, 1989, to break up a defiant protest by students demanding, among other things, more political freedom.
Captioned "Revisiting Tiananmen Square," the RSS organ mentioned the effort made by the Chinese leadership to gloss over what has been widely adjudged to be the massacre of peaceful protesters. The latest issue of 'The Organiser' is being unfolded at a time when bilateral ties are under strain because of Chinese attempts to intrude into Indian territory in Ladakh. More (UNI)
