Scaling up efforts to de-escalate the border tension along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh, India will hold a fresh round of senior commander-level military talks with China on June 6.
The Defence Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh, said on Tuesday that a meeting between senior Indian and Chinese military leaders has been scheduled for June 6.
'Whatever is happening at present... It is true that people of China are on the border. They claim that it is their territory. Our claim is that it is our area. There has been a disagreement over it,' he said..
Lieutenant General-level officers from both sides will hold the discussion on Saturday to address ongoing border disputes with the Indian delegation being led by 14 Corps Commander Lt Gen Harinder Singh, agencies reported.
