COVID-19: Deaths near 300-mark in Delhi, tally touches 14465

New Delhi, May 26 : With a spike of 412 infections in the past 24 hours, the number of Covid-19 cases in the National Capital reached 14,465 on Tuesday. According to the Delhi Government, there is an improvement registered in the total number of recoveries with the figure now at 6954 , after 183 cases have been cured and discharged since Monday. Capital's death toll has risen to 288 so far, the Delhi Health department's bulletin informed.

Active cases under medical supervision amount to 7223, while 185 are admitted in the Intensive Care Units of the dedicated COVID hospitals and 27 are at present on ventilator support in the same hospitals. Meanwhile, there have been 178579 cumulative tests till date.

Containment zones in the National Capital which had decreased to 64 last Thursday have again witnessed a rise and stand at 91. The number of patients at present under home isolation are 3770, the government health bulletin said. Delhi Health Minister holds daily review meetings with the health department officials, DGHS, CDMOs and the Medical Directors of the Delhi government hospitals dedicated for the pandemic. The government in view of the domestic air travel, inter-state bus and train travel, has issued detailed guidelines in view of virus spread prevention. (UNI)
