Agency News

New Delhi, May 21 : Domestic passenger flights, suspended due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, are resuming from May 25 with many new guidelines including passengers to arrive at airport at least two hours before flight time and use the Arogya Setu App becoming necessary. Sources said that the standard operating procedure (SOP) for airports makes it mandatory for passengers to arrive at the airport at least two hours in advance of the flight time.

Only those passengers whose flight is in the next four hours will be allowed to enter the terminal building. Thermal screening of passengers will be done before entering the terminal and only passengers without symptoms will be allowed to enter. It has been made mandatory for travellers to have the Arogya Setu App in their mobiles.

Admission will not be given if a green signal is not displayed on the app, however children below 14 years are exempted from the compulsory having the Arogya Setu App. All passenger flights in the country have been closed since March 25 to control the spread of Covid-19. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has announced on Wednesday that domestic passenger flights will resume from May 25. (UNI)
