New Delhi, May 16: In a setback to the Covid fight, a large number of nurses are leaving Bengal plunging the State into another crisis. Reports reaching here on Saturday said, in all 185 nurses from Manipur, who were serving different hospitals in the state, have resigned and went back to their home state.

The reports further informed that number of nurses belonging to other north-eastern states and Odisha are also likely to resign soon. The exact reason behind the mass resignations of nurses is yet to be ascertained. The demand for Centre's intervention in this regard have come from certain quarters while the statewide corona death toll increased to 225. (UNI)
