Delhi now houses 9333 COVID-19 patients, death toll reaches 129

New Delhi, May 16: With another sharp spike of 438 positive cases of Novel Coronavirus in the national capital, the tally reached 9333 on Saturday, the Delhi government Health Bulletin said here. There are 5278 active cases at present in the city, according to the government data. With six fresh casualties in the past one day, death toll due to the virus has gone up to 129.

On the brighter side, 408 cases have recovered since Friday, taking the total recoveries so far to 3926, the Delhi government said. Meanwhile on Friday, the Delhi government had sent suggestions to the Centre regarding the lockdown 4.0 and related relaxations. It is being said that the suggestions which the Delhi government forwarded to the Centre, are based on public opinions.

The public, according to the Delhi Government, had suggested opening of limited public transport services with strict adherence to social distancing and usage of masks, while opening up of more markets and malls, likely on odd-even basis and others. (UNI)
