New Delhi, May 16: India’s premier border guarding force BSF on Saturday said that as of now 135 COVID 19 infected jawans have been cured and discharged from the dedicated hospital after recovery from this deadly disease. According to the Force officials, out of 135 recovered so far, 98 troopers have been discharged since Friday.
Among these, 42 recovered at Jodhpur, 31 from Tripura and 25 from Delhi. During the last 24 hours, 16 additional cases have been reported, all asymptotic, have been admitted to dedicated COVID hospital. Earlier, two BSF personnel at Tekanpur, Five in Delhi, 24 in Tripura and six in Kolkata had recovered from Coronavirus and discharged from the hospital. So far 354 cases have been reported as of now and out of them, 208 border men have been undergoing treatment of Covid 19 where as two jawans succumbed to death May 4 and 7.
BSF spokesperson Shubhendu Bhardwaj said that the infections have been reported while performing operational and essential duties. He also informed that that each establishment of the BSF has been following the standard operating procedures that are in place to contain the coronavirus disease. (UNI)
