Koderma, May 12 : Two Shramik Special trains brought back a total of 2,380 trapped workers from Telangana and Gujarat at the Koderma Junction here. Talking to UNI, Koderma DC Ramesh Gholap said that the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the screening of the people who have come back. He said, by following social distancing, the people were made to come out and board the respective buses for their home districts.
On the other hand for their onward journey, the district administration has also provided them with breakfast and water bottles along with masks and sanitizers, he said. The DC urged the people that they should properly treat the men who have come home and should not be subjected to any kind of boycott. The first train from Bibinagar of Telangana reached the Koderma junction at 0430hrs. The workers were also accompanied by their wives and children.
The first train carried people hailing from 14 districts of the state. On the other hand, the second train reached Surat of Gujarat at 0830hrs. It brought with it people hailing from 19 districts of the state. The district administration had made arrangements of more than 100 buses to take these people to their respective districts. (UNI)
