New Delhi, May 11: As many as 3,908 people have returned to the country in the first four days as part of the 'Vande Bharat' mission launched by the government to bring the Indians stranded abroad.
According to official information on Monday, a total of 3,908 Indians have been brought home on 23 flights from May 7 to May 10 on the government airline Air India and its associate airline Air India Express.
The government initially planned to operate 64 flights from 12 countries with 14,800 people to be brought back. Apart from this, people trapped here due to lockdown have also been transported to their respective countries while going to bring back Indians from abroad. So far, a total of 833 people have gone abroad on 25 such flights who are either citizens of those countries or have long-term visas there. (UNI)
