New Delhi, May 11 : The Uttar Pradesh Shikshamitra Association on Monday moved the Supreme Court, challenging the Allahabad High Court order, which cleared the way for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers in the schools of Basic Education Council.
The petition, filed by lawyer Gaurav Yadav, urged the Apex Court to put a stay on the High Court order. The Uttar Pradesh government had earlier filed a caveat in the SC, which requested the apex court not to give any verdict, without hearing it's side. The Shiksha Mitras had dragged the state government to the High Court, after controversy erupted over the cut-off list approved by the state government. (UNI)
