New Delhi, May 8 : Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday condoled the death of 14 migrants workers in Mahrashtra's Aurangabad, who came under the wheels of a freight train earlier in the morning.
"Deeply saddened to learn about the loss of lives in a train mishap in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. My heartfelt condolences to bereaved families", the Vice President said in a tweet. The accident happened in the morning at around 0530 hrs. According to sources, at least 14 migrant labourers were crushed to death by a freight train between Badnapur and Karmad, about 25 km from Aurangabad, while 5 others were seriously injured. The workers had been walking along the rail tracks and had slept on the tracks due to exhaustion. (UNI)
