PM expresses grief over Aurangabad rail accident

New Delhi, May 8 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed grief over the tragic accident in Mahrashtra's Aurangabad where 14 migrant labourers were mowed down by a freight train.

"Extremely anguished by the loss of lives due to the rail accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Have spoken to Railway Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and he is closely monitoring the situation. All possible assistance required is being provided", the Prime Minister wrote on twitter.

The accident happened in the morning at around 0530 hrs. According to sources, at least 14 migrant labourers were crushed to death by a freight train between Badnapur and Karmad, about 25 km from Aurangabad, while 5 others were seriously injured. (UNI)
