New Delhi, May 8 : Amid increasing controversy on the PM Cares Fund, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday called for transparency in the fund. 'The PM Cares fund should be transparent. There should be an audit. People should be told how much money has been collected, and where it has been spent - The govt should not have any problem with the auditing of the fund!" Mr Gandhi said while addressing a press conference through video conferencing .
He also reiterated his doubts on transparency of the Aarogya Setu App. 'There is no problem with government running an app to help people amid #coronavirus crisis, but there must be transparency”, he said. The comments by the Congress leader came even as the NDA government has ruled out an audit of the PM Cares Fund. It has also asserted that the Aarogya Setu App is fully transparent and that the data shared on the App is fully secure. (UNI)
