New Delhi, May 6: The Ministry of Civil Aviation website was down due to 'unprecedented traffic' on Wednesday, following an announcement made to bring back Indians stranded abroad. “The MoCA website is down due to unprecedented traffic. Team NIC is working on it,” the ministry said in a tweet.
Details regarding evacuation flights will be put up on the Air India website soon, the ministry said. “Kindly check there directly. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused,” it stated. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said on Tuesday that between May 7 and 13, 64 flights will be operated and 14,800 citizens from 12 countries will be brought home. Indians stranded abroad will have to bear the cost of travel as well as a 14-day quarantine and they should be Covid-19 negative, the government has announced. (UNI)
