New Delhi, May 3: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Information & Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Sunday praised the various ways, in which the Indian armed forces felicitated the Corona warriors and thanked them for paying tribute to all frontline workers battling the Novel Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The armed forces - Indian Army, Indian Naval Services and the Indian Air Force on Sunday organised several activities as a show of gratitude, including paying floral tributes to the brave soldiers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, at the National Police Memorial.

Shah said, ''The scenes of respect shown by the Indian armed forces towards the doctors, police, paramilitary forces and other warriors, who work day and night to liberate the country from Corona, are heart touching. The bravery shown by these warriors while fighting Corona is certainly venerable.''

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also thanked the armed forces for paying tribute to all frontline workers. "I thank the Armed Forces for their special initiatives like flypasts, showering flower petals and several other performances to express gratitude towards medical professionals, police and other frontline warriors," he posted.

Javadekar said the gesture of armed forces gives very deep confidence to all those, who have been working tirelessly against the pandemic. ''What an aerial salute to frontline warriors against COVID. This gives very deep confidence to all those, who work tirelessly. This is how nation pays tribute to those who work in difficult times,'' he said in his missive. (UNI)
