The authorities on Tuesday sealed the building of the NITI Aayog in the Capital after a senior officer tested positive for novel coronavirus. The building has been sealed for 48 hours for thorough disinfection and sanitisation of the premises.
It was reported that a director-level officer has tested positive for COVID-19. Mr. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Secretary (Administration), NITI Aayog, said the necessary protocol is being followed, including sealing of the building for two days for thorough disinfection and sanitisation.
The development came on a day when the Delhi Health Minister said that nearly 200 healthcare personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Capital. the Minister, Mr. Satyendar Jain, said the total number of coronavirus cases in Delhi now stands at 3,108.
