New Delhi, Apr 27: Attacking the Yogi Adityanath government over the issue of faulty PPE kits supplied to medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday questioned whether the perpetrators of the scam will be booked.
In a series of tweets, Ms Vadra said the UP government was more concerned about who leaked the information than getting it probed. "Faulty PPEs were supplied to many medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Fortunately , this was detected early and the faulty kits were returned and any danger to the safety of our doctors was averted.
However, Surprisingly, the UP government is not bothered about the scam but is concerned about who leaked the information about these faulty kits," she said in a tweet. She asked their government if the guilty would be brought to book. "It was good that the news came out, otherwise the issue of faulty kits would not have come to light and would have been pushed under the carpet. "Will the perpetrators of this face action," she asked .
She posted on her Twitter handle, a letter by the Director General medical education, stating that faulty personal protective equipment (PPEs) were supplied and the same had leaked in public domain. Later, the Congress leader also shared a letter by the UP government seeking inquiry into who was behind the leak. (UNI)
