New Delhi, Apr 19: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that the Delhi Government has decided not to permit any relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown in the National Capital.
At a digital press conference here, Kejriwal said, “After assessing the prevailing situation in Delhi, we have decided not to permit any relaxation of the lockdown, as of now. I am aware of people's problems. Keeping in mind the health of the people of Delhi, we have decided that at present there will be no change in the rules of lockdown.
“About 2 per cent of the country's total population lives in Delhi. But 12 per cent of the total corona cases in the country are in Delhi. Hence, there will be no relaxation in lockdown at the moment.”
The Delhi government will hold a review meeting on April 27. “At present, all 11 districts of Delhi are hotspots,” he said. (UNI)
