New Delhi, Apr 17: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said no private school in the National Capital will be allowed to hike school fees during the COVID-19 lockdown. He further said that private schools cannot demand three months fees in advance.
“No school will charge three months fee, only tuition fees will be charged, that too per month,” Sisodia said while addressing a press conference here. He added that no private school will be allowed to charge transportation fees during the lockdown period. He said the Delhi government has decided that no private school can hike school fees without asking the City government.
“At this time, it is not appropriate to remove student's names from the online classes due to nonpayment of fees. All private schools will pay salaries to their staff on time,” Sisodia said. (UNI)
