New Delhi, Mar 26: Leading from the front in helping the countrymen in this hour of need, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Thursday decided to contribute one day salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) in view of COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
The one day salary of the largest peacekeeping force of the country with 3.25 lakh personnel amounts to Rs 33,81,00,000. We are dutifully committed to stand firmly with our Nation in this challenging time of COVID19 spread, the CRPF Spokesperson said.
"It is submitted that CRPF personnel have decided to make a humble contribution of one day salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. The effort was to make the immediate contribution with the noble intent to keep it unrevealed”, the spokesperson further said, adding that the Force remains steadfast towards its motto of service and loyalty.
The CRPF is the oldest & largest paramilitary force of the country, entrusted with internal security and anti- Naxal operations. (UNI)
