New Delhi, Mar 20 : In the wake of rapidly growing threat of Coronavirus, prominent trade leaders of different parts of Delhi, on Friday, decided to close business establishments in the national capital for next three days beginning tomorrow to prevent transmission of Coronavirus.
The markets in Delhi will remain closed on March 21, 22 and 23, said, Praveen Khandelwal, secretary general of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). The trade leaders will review the situation on March 23 evening and decide actions for future, he said.
CAIT has exempted chemist shops, dairy and general consumables from the shut down for the convenience of citizens for procuring their daily requirements. "The traders are committed to extend all possible help to the government in containing coronavirus from community transmission," Khandelwal added. According to the government, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country rose to 223 on Friday evening. (UNI)
