New Delhi, Mar 10 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday extended Holi greetings to the people of the national capital.
The Chief Minister, in his message, asked everyone to take care of themselves while celebrating the festival and playing with colors. He also advised people to save themselves from the danger of Coronavirus. Mr Sisodia in his message said that the country is an example of unity in diversity and the festival of Holi is one of the biggest examples of this.
He wished for bundles of happiness and joy for everyone along with their families on this occasion. Meanwhile, neither the CM nor the AAP MLAs are celebrating the festival this year due to the recent acts of violence in the North Eastern part of the national capital. Kejriwal had earlier announced that due to the violence and the grief of what all happened and those who lost lives, the AAP MLAs and the CM will not be celebrating the Holi festival.
Meanwhile, the North Eastern part of the Capital witnessed heavy deployment of security personnel, especially in the areas that were worst affected due to the violence. (UNI)
