Pune, Mar 3 : Night temperatures were above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat region and south interior Karnataka, and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh. Night temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh. Night temperatures were below normal below normal in some parts of Odisha, and appreciably below normal below normal in remaining parts of Telangana.

The lowest minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius was recorded at Karnal in Haryana. Day temperatures were above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala as well as in remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, and Tamil Nadu. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Uttarakhand, and markedly above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Day temperatures were below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. Day temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Telangana and south interior Karnataka. The highest maximum temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Punalur in Kerala.

Thunderstorm accompanied with hail very likely at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe. In the past 24 hours, thunderstorms were observed at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya. Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
