New Delhi, Mar 3 : India on Tuesday lodged a strong protest with Iran against the unwarranted remarks made by the Iranian Foreign Minister regarding recent events in Delhi.
The Iranian Ambassador to India, Ali Chegeni, was summoned to the External Affairs Ministry and a strong protest was lodged with him for the remarks made by the Iranian Foreign Minister in a tweet. It was conveyed to the envoy that the Foreign Minister's selective and tendentious characterisation of recent events in Delhi were not acceptable. ``India does not expect such comments from a country like Iran,' MEA's official spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said here.
