New Delhi, Mar 3 : Deputy Chief Minister Delhi Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that the government is taking all necessary steps to tackle the Corona virus and asked people not to panic.
Addressing the press along with the Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, Sisodia said that the Delhi government is taking all possible steps in view of keeping the national capital safe from the new virus infection 'COVID-19'. The government had called in for an emergency meeting in this regard chaired by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to chalk out preparations to deal with the situation after a case was reported in the national capital on Monday.
Jain said that around 3.5 lakh masks are being arranged for with isolation wards also being setup in 25 hospitals across the city that include 19 government and six private hospitals. Sisodia further added that the government is advancing efforts to reach out to persons who could be infected or were in touch with any such infected person. Sisodia also emphasized on personal hygiene and stressed on the habit of washing hands more frequently. (UNI)
