New Delhi, Feb 22 : Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday attended a 'happiness class' at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in West Vinod Nagar area of the National Capital. This is the first visit of Mr Sisodia, who also holds the portfolio of Education for the third time in a row.

Through a series of tweets, he said, "#HappinessClass is a scientifically designed course for students of Nur-8th grades, that is helpful in keeping children’s mind focused in work, living harmoniously with family & society, but most importantly developing a holistic outlook and perspective on life.@HappinessDelhi." "Happiness class is 'The solution' to all hate and narrow mindedness. Education is meaningless without Happiness. I am Happy that Delhi govt schools are showing a path to the world. And the world is curious to know what we are doing in #HappinessClass," he said.

Notably, Mr Sisodia's visit comes after the reports that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Mr Sisodia are unlikely to accompany Melania Trump, the first lady of the United States, during her visit to a government school in the national capital next week. The First lady of the US is scheduled to take part in the 'happiness curriculum' class introduced by the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government during her visit to New Delhi on February 25.
