Centre extends air travel facility to CAPF jawans for Srinagar

New Delhi, Feb 14 : The Centre has extended the air travel facility from Jammu to Srinagar for non- entitled personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) deployed in the Kashmir valley till further order. Union Home Ministry, in its order dated February 4, gave directions to Director Generals of all CAPF, Assam Rifle and National Security Guard(NSG) that the non entitled personnel of these security forces be allowed facility of air travel from Jammu to Srinagar, and back on official duty, transfer,tour and on commencement and termination of leave.

The air facility will also be given to security personnel from Delhi to Srinagar and back for the same purpose as mentioned above. The Union Home Ministry, in its order dated February 21, 2019, gave nod to this facility for the non-entitled security personnel deployed in Kashmir soon after the dastardly attack on Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) convoy at Pulwama on February 14 last year.(UNI)
