New Delhi, Feb 13: All-India Mahila Congress on Thursday staged a 'dharna' outside Shashtri Bhawan here against the hike in the price of non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders.
Under the leadership of All India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev, the women's wing of the party, held a demonstration, demanding the Union government to rollback the hike.
The protesters asked why the government was taking huge amount from the people when the price of oil in the international market was going down.
On Wednesday, state-run oil marketing companies hiked the price of non-subsidised LPG cylinders.
The prices of non-subsidised LPG cylinders were increased by up to Rs 149 per cylinder. (UNI)
