New Delhi, Feb 9: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended their greetings to the nation on the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas.
"I convey my good wishes to all on Guru Ravidas Jayanti today. A strong proponent of peace and harmony, Guru Ravidas spread the message of love and oneness through his teachings' ', the Vice President tweeted. He further wrote to follow the path shown by Guru Ravidas and contribute towards universal brotherhood, on this day. The Prime Minister also paid his tribute to the mystic poet-Saint.
"Humble tribute to the great saint Guru Ravidas Ji on his birth anniversary. For a positive change in the society, he emphasised the spirit of harmony and brotherhood, which is equally relevant today. His education, based on justice, equality and service, will continue to inspire people of every age." he tweeted. Mr Modi also shared a video, wherein he himself explained some of the teachings of Guru Ravidas. (UNI)
