A day after the Delhi polls, the Election Commission on Sunday announced the final voter turnout as 62.59 percent.
Dr. Ranbir Singh, the Chief Electoral Officer, in a press conference denied the EVM tampering charges made by the Aam Admi Party leaders. He said that the multiple scrutiny of ballot was the reason for the delay in the calculation of final voter turnout.
“No truth in AAP’s allegation that the Voting Machines were mishandled,” he said. Delhi election 2020 turnout is 62.59% compared to 67.5% in 2015, he added.
