Capital polls: Priyanka Vadra's son cast vote, says it's a nice feeling

New Delhi, Feb 8: Raihan Rajiv Vadra, son of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra who is a first-time voter, cast his vote on Saturday and said it is a nice feeling to take part in the democratic process.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, husband Robert Vadra and their son Raihan Rajiv Vadra cast their vote at booth no 114 and 116 in Lodhi Estate.

''It was a nice feeling to take part in the democratic process. Everyone should exercise their right to vote. I think everyone should have access to public transport and it should be subsidized for students,'' Raihan told reporters after fulfilling his democratic duty.

An estimated voter turnout of 20.05 per cent has been recorded till 1pm of the high-octane Delhi elections which began amid tight security arrangements in all 70 constituencies at 8am on Saturday.

Around 1.47 crore eligible voters of Delhi will elect representatives for the 70-member Delhi assembly from 672 candidates. (UNI)
