New Delhi, Jan 31: President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday said the government believes in debate and discussions to resolve all issues but at the same time, any violence in the name of protest only contributes to weaken the nation.
In his address to the Joint Sitting of Parliament marking the beginning of Budget session, the President said the Modi government has able to deliver much on welfare schemes and also made Kartarpur Corridor functional. "My government is committed to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas. It is working very sincerely to implement these ideals," President said. The achievements of the government has been recognised globally also, he said.
There has been increased improvement in connectivity sector in the far flung north east while the new measures in Jammu and Kashmir has also helped the people in this region. Mr Kovind lauded the manner people reacted to the historic Ram Janmabhoomi mandate from the Supreme Court. He mentioned about recent peace pacts related to Brus in Mizoram and Tripura and Bodos in Assam. UNI
